It is oriented towards various areas including: health research, research in educational sciences, engineering training and assessments.

The main health research axes:

  • Epidemiological surveillance of diseases;
  • Biological and genetic characterization of vectors and pests;
  • Drug resistance of parasites to drugs;
  • The vector resistance to insecticides;
  • The pathogen-vector interactions;
  • Strategies and methods of struggle against the vectors and parasites.

Key research partners

Research areas are implemented in collaboration with institutional partners at the local level in the CEMAC member countries (Programs or control committees, ministries of health, universities, etc.), regional (WHO-EIP, PATTEC, NEPAD, ECCAS, etc.) and international (France, United Kingdom, Mali, Burkina Faso, Kenya, German Cooperation (KfW), European Union, FIBIO endowment Fund, World Bank, EDCTP, etc.).

Research in Education Sciences within the master memory and health research especially on malaria vectors.

The CIESPAC has a teaching and research laboratory equipped with the support of FIBIO Endowment Fund. This laboratory has, standard equipment (consisting of microscopes, magnifying glasses, centrifuges, spectrophotometer, bath, distiller, electrophoresis tanks, etc.) The hotel has many rooms for the practical sessions.
