Appointed by Decision No. 41/17-CEMAC-OCEAC-CCE-SE, of 20 November 2017, Dr. Manuel Nso Obiang Ada was installed on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the headquarters of the Institution in Yaoundé by the Resident Representative of the CEMAC Commission, Mrs Malaika Ndoubé Ngollo, in the presence of the Minister of Public Health of Cameroon, Mr André MAMA FOUDA, Dean of Ministers in charge of Health of the CEMAC countries, the ambassadors of the CEMAC member countries to Cameroon, as well as partners and all staff.

The ceremony began with the performance of the anthem of CEMAC, and subsequently the reading of the decision appointing the new Executive Secretary, read by the Director of Administration and Finance. The purpose of this reading is to make official the choice of the Heads of State of CEMAC on the new Executive Secretary. Thus followed the speech of the outgoing Executive Secretary, who briefly drew up his management report by the precision of the projects completed and in progress and subsequently he wished good luck to his successor. Speaking in turn, Dr. OBIAN Ada, the new Executive Secretary, first congratulated his predecessor for his efforts over the next five years, and later told the audience that the ceremony made it possible to measure the magnitude of the task ahead. he will put all his energies for the implementation of the health component of the Regional Economic Program (PER) CEMAC, he continued. It should be pointed out that Dr OBIANG is an Equatorial Guinea national, he is familiar with the management of community health programs, well known in the academic world, as a teacher. He studied in Spain and holds several degrees in public health. He is married father of 4 children. The term of office running December 27, 2017 will end in December 2022.
